build successful strategies.

About

Our values

At Ripple Strategy, we are our values.

Integrity, inclusion, accountability– these are table stakes. We don’t believe basic human decency or professionalism are distinguishing factors. They’re non-negotiable. In the age of corporate credos like “don’t be evil”, we embrace radical goodness and hold ourselves to the highest professional standards.

The values that guide our work are

  • Dream big – We believe the charitable and social purpose sector is the backbone of Canada. We embrace both time-tested and radically transformative solutions that serve the greater good. Where possible, we aim to help great organizations scale so they can deliver universal solutions.

  • Pay it forward – With privilege comes responsibility. We actively seek out opportunities to amplify the impact of high value organizations. We price our services generously so they are accessible to small and medium sized organizations.

  • Deliver excellence – We commit to producing trusted work that is high-quality, accurate, and backed by rigorous evidence.

  • Do it now – We have a strong bias toward action. We believe in making lives better and maximizing our clients’ impact now.

Sabrina Bond

Managing Director

Sabrina has a passion for solving tough problems with clients. With 15 years of professional experience as a senior economist, strategy consultant, and operational leader, she is a seasoned guide-on-the-side to leaders who need an evidence-based roadmap as they navigate strategic challenges, access funding, and bring their vision to life.

Recently, she was responsible for program management of the research component of a $320M multi-disciplinary national research and piloting program operated through Canada’s largest non-partisan think-tank, and previously for ownership of its enterprise strategy through the office of the CEO. Equally comfortable building quantitative models and stakeholder value, Sabrina has a depth of experience designing custom solutions for clients where policy, society, and business interests intersect. As a former evaluator of government budgets and program funding decisions at federal and provincial levels of government, she is attuned to the needs of funders, and uses this knowledge to help clients successfully finance their important work. As a strategy consultant, she knows how to build strategic plans that work.

Great social solutions ought to be universal because a strong social sector underpins a vibrant economy. This ethos inspires all the work we do at Ripple Strategy. We are honoured to provide a steady hand to help our clients realize their ambitions.

Sabrina is an MBA graduate and Bregman Scholar of the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, and holds a Master’s of Economics from York University and a B.A. (Hons.) with distinction from Queen’s University.

Services we offer

Charities and social purpose businesses should have access to the same caliber tools and strategic advice as large corporations.

At Ripple Strategy, we focus in two areas: evaluating impact and designing enterprise and program strategy. These two streams support our clients in accessing the funds they need to run their organizations, and in delivering outstanding results.

Our professional services are priced to be accessible to small and medium sized enterprises, so they can focus their resources on what matters most: their impact.

1  Impact evaluation

We help our clients evaluate their impact, so they can communicate compelling results to funders, drive donations, and win grants to support their operations.

Our capabilities include:

  • Quantifying organizations’ return on investment and systemic impact through economic impact analysis and cost-benefit evaluation

  • Designing holistic, interdisciplinary program evaluation frameworks to measure outputs and outcomes

2  Strategy design

For select clients, we help senior leaders build and deliver a successful strategy, whether at the enterprise or program level.

Services we offer include:

  • Designing enterprise and program-level strategic plans

  • Brand strategy development (excluding creative)

  • Planning for enterprise transformation, organizational design, and change management

  • Market development planning for start-ups and expanded service offerings

  • Qualitative market research – method design, key stakeholder interviews, focus groups

Clients

Who we work with

We work with organizations who are champions for people most in need and causes of high societal value.

Our clients are small and medium sized charities and for-profit social purpose businesses whose operations are carried out in Canada. We have expertise working across a wide range of industries and topics to ensure Canada’s social sector has the tools it needs to maximize its impact.

We regret that we are not able to advise on overseas activities – even if they are carried out by registered Canadian charities or corporations – or to organizations whose substantive work is primarily religious or political in nature.
